How You Can Help

Promoting Vocations is the Job of Every Catholic

“Let us be quite frank: the ability to cultivate vocations to the priesthood and the religious life is a sure sign of the health of a local Church. There is no room for complacency in this regard. God continues to call young people; it is up to all of us to encourage a generous and free response to that call.”

– Pope Benedict XVI, April 2008

You can help promote vocations in the Diocese of Youngstown! Some things you can do:

  • Read through the information in this section of the website (see the links in the side navigation bar.)
  • Pray for vocations in the Diocese and encourage others to do so.
  • Help with financial support of the Diocese and Vocation Office.
  • Encourage young men and women to live as faithful Catholics, and invite them to thoughtfully discern their vocations, whatever God may be calling them to do.
