Summer Discernment Mission Trip

June 19 to June 23 (2017)

Join us for a mission trip to Cumberland, Kentucky!

Cumberland, Kentucky is located in the heart of Appalachia. The area has experienced the pain of joblessness and poverty. The people live in some of the lowest income neighborhoods in the United States. The Office of the Propagation of the Faith and Missions for the Diocese of Youngstown has been working in partnership with the Diocese of Lexington to bring volunteers who give of their time and talent to help in missionary efforts during the summer months in the Cumberland area.

On this trip, we will:

  • Using our time and talent to provide service.
  • Communal prayer time that includes Mass, Adoration, Rosary and other prayer.
  • Presentations designed to help participants discern their future vocation, with a special emphasis on the vocation to priesthood.
  • Recreation and time to relax.
Consider these questions as a way to help prepare you for this mission week and to consider discerning your vocation, your calling in this life... (click or tap to expand)
