Work Experience: Seasonal jobs – construction worker, maker of blueprints

Favorite Saint(s):  St. Padre Pio, because he is an example of complete obedience no matter what.

Hobbies/Interests: I like sports such as soccer, ice hockey, running and swimming.

Family Background:  I grew up in a strong Catholic family. All of us, including me, are devoted Catholics. Our faith is the anchor of our lives. This faith has helped us to overcome various difficulties in our lives. My family and I actively participate in the running of our parish. My father is 56 years old. Mother is 53 years old. I have one older brother who is 30 years old and he is married.

What led you to consider the priesthood: My grandmother influenced me the most. At first, she forced me to go to the Church. She knew what was best for me, even though I did not understand her initial intention. I have developed a habit to go to the Church every day and not only on Sunday. First time I felt the calling to the priesthood was when I began serving in my parish. I wanted to get closer to God and behind the altar  It became my dream to become a priest. In High School I had fully decided to sacrifice my life for God and at this moment my dream comes through.

Favorite thing about Seminary Life: The seminary teaches me discipline in my life. I have enough time for everything I like, such as prayer and sports.

Advice for guys considering Priesthood: Do not be discouraged because you are not “cool” among your peers. It is a sign that God is calling you to herd His sheep. Listen to your inner voice and be open to God’s will.
